THE AMITYVILLE LEGEND
"The sign of a good story is that it never dies. Even if it is known to false, even if it is known to be a hoax, it lingers in the memory and appeals to the imagination"
John Robert Colombo
Disclaimer: This site was created on February 6th, 2004. The purpose of this site is to explore the folklore aspect of the infamous alleged haunting widely known as the Amityville Horror; especially in regards to recent years and how the explosion in the use of telecommunication technology has lead to even more additions to this already colorful story. The information contained within is not meant as a validation or a refutation of the legitimacy of Amityville Horror as a genuine case of paranormal phenomena. Rather it is only meant to illustrate the human component of this saga and how it has helped make it into perhaps the best known Ghost Story of modern times.
Last Updated on 04/15/2005; in Hornor of the new Amityville Horror Remake's premier: Added a Facts page to my site. This page will deal ONLY with the claims that can be PROVEN, that have been made about the Infamous Horror House, and it's history.

Stay Tuned! More Updates to come in the near future!
